We are located at UBC's Okanagan Campus in the beautiful BC interior city of Kelowna.  

The campus is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation. 

 

We are based in the Biology Department on the second floor of the Arts and Science building.

Post Doc Opportunities

  • We currently only consider postdoc candidates with fellowships and generally seek those with backgrounds in

    • (Lung) Cell & Molecular Biology,

    • Biomedical Science,

    • Biochemistry,

    • Biomimetic model establishment and fabrication,

    • Bioengineering, 

    • Life Sciences.

  • We seek highly creative, motivated, and passionate students from all backgrounds

  • Particularly those with a strong track record in (Cell) Biology, (Bio)chemistry, (Bio)engineering, and the Biomedical sciences

 

  • An application can then be submitted via the College of Graduate Studies at UBCO. 

  • This should be done after consulting Dr. Osei if you intend to join the Osei lab

Undergraduate Opportunities

  • Due to space constraints, spots are unfortunately limited and competitive. 

  • Contact Dr. Osei to determine availability.

  • Throughout the school year, we offer undergraduate research positions when space is available.

  • These research positions (when available) take the form of honors thesis, directed studies, and volunteer research student placements during the school year.

  • Positions usually intensify over the summer period if funding is successfully secured through the IKB Faculty of Science URA or NSERC USRA or other Funding mechanisms (via a competitive application process). ​
